DISCLAIMER: ALL THE ABOVE WORKS ARE MY OWN.
So I’m pretty hesitant to upload this but basically I’m finding myself rather financially compromised at the moment.
The basic situation is that I’m at boarding school, meaning that I can’t have a job. I’m also studying full-time to finish my HSC and actually get a mark that will get me into a decent course of my choosing.
I receive a pension for having a chronic illness, however literally all of that money [which is around $400 a fortnight, if not slightly less] pays for my therapy which is just under $200 a week and at the moment if I do not attend my weekly sessions my health is going to be severely compromised. I also receive no compensation for paying for my therapy. Aside from this, I have other various medical costs [blood tests, ECGs etc] which I also have to pay for, although that does get a partial refund so that is not too worrying.
I have to pay for each session by myself and I do not receive any other form of payment.
Unfortunately [and I really, really hate having to write this], when my schooling ends and I have to come home from boarding school I will be entering back into the toxic environment initially developed and has prolonged my illness.
I am writing all of this because I hope to move out at the end of the year and find a place to stay. My current environment is emotionally abusive, manipulative and generally unsupportive of LGBT+ issues and being a queer genderfluid teen with mental health issues and recurring body dysmorphia, I don’t feel comfortable or safe there at all.
So I’m asking for help. Above this writing are several photos and manipulations, all of which I took/created and all of which [I believe] demonstrate my varying photographic style.
I can do landscapes, abstract, portraiture, micro-photography, black and white, animals - most things. I can also do photo-manipulations as demonstrated above and I am happy to manipulate a photo of you if you’d like.
I’m looking to sell these prints to anyone who is interested so that I can gather enough funds to move out and support my medical needs until I become employed.
I was initally going to ask for people to donate money, however I’m hesitant about doing that and not giving back but if enough people see this and would like to donate, please message me and I will set up a gofundme page and work something out so I can give back to you all.
I will be selling these photos and others like them on etsy - I will be making prints [which will cost a few dollars extra] and I will also be selling the digital copies. I’m also happy to do commissions, however that depends entirely on my schooling schedule.
The link to my shop [which is still being updated and refined] is: https://www.etsy.com/au/people/ellieshort2
If anyone is interested in helping me out, I would honestly be over the moon and forever grateful. If not, even reblogging this so that more people can see would be great.
Thank you so much.

Interesting list but Goodfellas as a coming of age film? I wouldn’t be so sure about that.
And it’s from 1990.
Hey man thanks so much, ill add that correction now :)
But yes I think it’s absolutely a coming of age film. Coming of age marks the first stages of adulthood and decision making, it’s when a person makes their first choices about who he or she will be as a member of society, functioning or otherwise. You see a lot of that in goodfellas, it’s all about Henry becoming the person he wants to be, and how that pans out for him. I mean yes it’s on a grander scale than most coming of age stories (like I know it’s not about townies falling in love with college girls and smoking sneaky cigarettes behind the school walls) but essentially the elements are there—particularly the first hour or so, the transition from under the law to outside of the law, and it happens from a very early age. It would probably fit better under the crime genre, obviously, but it certainly isn’t an out of place contribution to this list.
